Dog Travels

When Mark Wessells was moving within Myrtle Beach, he brought his dog Buck to stay with his dad in Winchester, Virginia for the duration of his move. He thought that Buck would love all of his dad’s property and have a great time while he switched homes. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. About a week after Wessells dropped Buck off, he went missing.(dog walking services nyc)

Myrtle Beach Online reports that the family looked for Buck and thought perhaps he was stolen because it seemed like he had just vanished. Wessells who thought he would never see Buck again was in for a surprise.

Six months later, at about 2 a.m., Brett Gallagher a Myrtle Beach resident, found a lab wandering. After checking to see if this lab, who he dubbed “Deuce” for the time of night he found him, belonged to anybody, he took him in. Hannah, Gallagher’s pup and Deuce got along well and played for two weeks. Then Gallagher took Deuce to the vet for a check up, they scanned his microchip and realized he belonged to Wessells.

When the nurse asked, “Are you Buck?” the lost lab showed his excitement for hearing his real name.

Buck had traveled nearly 500 miles to return to Myrtle Beach! When he was reunited with Wessells he gave his owner lots of love. Watch the video of this sweet reunion at myrtlebeachonline.com.

Wessells is reported as saying, “I still don’t know how I feel…I’m just glad he’s back.”

So are we!
