We’ve brought you the smallest dog in both the U.S. and the U.K. but there is a new big dog in town and his name is Zeus. Denise and Kevin Doorlag were big dog people when they decided to bring this Great Dane home and they certainly got what they wished for. At 3 feet, 8 inches tall, Zuess is officially the tallest dog in the world according to the Guinness World Records.(dog walking services nyc)

Great Dane

People.com reports that Zeus beat out his fellow Great Dane, Giant George, for the title. Kevin told the publication, “It’s kind of comical…Everybody we see is like, ‘Is that a horse? Is he part horse, part giraffe?”

But no. Zeus is all dog and he apparently acts like a little one too. Despite his size, he will run scared from a barking dog even if it’s a small one. He also loves to be on laps, lives for human contact and likes to lean on people.

Zeus isn’t just a Guinness record holder though. He also volunteers as a therapy dog at the local hospital. Because he’s so tall he can just walk right up to a hospital bed and the patient can be at his face level without bending over.

At home, this big guy lives with a human sister, human brother and dog sibling named Sagan.
