‘Sex and the City’ Stoop Benefits Dogs

January 14, 2013

Have you ever explored the West Village of New York City in search of Carrie Bradshaw’s famous stoop from Sex and the City? If you have, you’re far from alone. It sits on Perry Street and can be easily recognized by the “No Trespassing” sign hanging on a chain. It is, after all, a private residence. Amazingly, Barbara, the resident of this well-known home is using its fame to help dogs!(dog walking services nyc)

Next time you have a chance, swing by these steps and notice a box hanging nearby. This is called “Carrie’s Kitty” and according to Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition (“BARC”), all the donations are given to various no-kill shelters, including BARC. Pretty amazing right?
We love that the resident of this home turned something that was probably really annoying (an excess of traffic and people taking photos in front of her home) into a positive thing for dogs and other animals. We think more landmarks should do the same, don’t you?
