We came across this article on Buzzfeed, entitled "Huge Dogs You Can't Fit In Your Apartment," and we just had to share it. As New Yorkers, we hold a special appreciation for what it's like to live in a small apartment with our dogs and deal with landlords who may or may not appreciated our canine companion, but imagine if your dog was the size of a pony? Though some apartment buildings have size rules -- and these massive pups certainly do not meet the under 35-pound regulation -- we've seen our share of Great Danes and Saint Bernards roaming the streets. Yet, the pooches in these pictures are particular ginormous either by genetic predisposition or by freak accident. Without further ado, just enjoy these photos and appreciate your dog, who may not be as portable as a dog in a purse, but is certainly easier to get around than these guys and gals.

About a week ago, in Des Moines Iowa, an amazing thing occurred. It was the Drake Relays 33rd Annual Beautiful Bulldog Contest. This event is held so that 50 gorgeous bulldogs can compete in costume, for the title. The pageant also kicks off the rest of the relay festivities at Drake University, where the bulldog is the mascot. Fitting kick off, we think!

Happy Friday, everyone! We hope your week has gone well and we'd like to end it on a great note! We'll start by saying dogs are adorable (but you already knew that). We'll second that by stating that stuffed animals, too, are adorable. But, what happens when you combine the two? Well, a blog that you absolutely must check out, has done this experiment. It's called Animals with Stuffed Animals and it's exactly what you think: a seemingly endless supply of adorable photos submitted by pet owners, of their animals snuggling with animals of the stuffed persuasion.

Did you know that today is Administrative Professionals Day? Today is widely celebrated as a day of appreciation for those who do administrative work in the office and who may otherwise fall under the radar. We say a big "thank you" to all our human admins on this fine Wednesday! We also want to take a moment (or a whole blog post) to recognize our dog counterparts who often come into the workplace and work right alongside us. Not only are they good for our office productivity (it's scientifically proven!), but they make work days that much more exciting. Take the pup in the below video, for example. He not only looks adorable behind a desk, but he actually works by delivering paper to customers, right off the printer. Pretty impressive, indeed. 

The end of the workweek is near and we like to give you some Friday laughs. It makes us happy. So, this week we've rounded up videos of talking dogs. Now, the term "talking" should be taken pretty lightly seeing as many of these dogs sort of gutturally push out what sounds like English words. In fairness, however, some pups are impressively close to saying actual sentences or singular words and even if it's a bit of a mumble, it's still completely adorable. Enjoy a variety of breeds saying things like "Mama" or "I love you" or trying their darndest to.

It's Friday! Congratulations, you made it through the week. It's possible that this long week has made you feel a little bit sleepy. Maybe you're dreaming of a nap, or a long, deep rest. Well, just in time for the weekend we'll help wake you up, or at least enjoy yourself more, by providing you with a compilation of incredibly sleepy dogs. Some of these pooches are fast asleep, some are fighting their hardest to stay awake and some get woken up out of their REM cycle, much to their surprise. You know what they say, right? Maddie the rescued coonhound is the loyal companion of Theron Humphrey, a photographer from Atlanta, who decided to travel the 50 states. Theron told People Magazine that Maddie is always right beside him when he is taking pictures of other subjects, so he decided to make her the center of attention. While some dogs can jump, spin around or dance, Maddie has unique talents: patience and the ability to stand still on weird things. She's done it across all 50 states and the pictures are amazing. Not only is her ability to balance impressive, but also Theron's photos are often breathtaking.

We're T minus two days from Easter Sunday and well, it wasn't hard to think of a funny theme for today's post. Obviously, dogs dressed up in Easter garb, surrounded by festive Easter holiday decorations, with lots of pastels and eggs are adorable. We just wanted to pay homage to those who were decked out and made to pose for the camera by enjoying their hard work! Also, we were inspired by the First Dog, once again, who took time out of his busy schedule to film a little Easter promo for the 2012 White House Easter Egg Roll. Here is Bo's video, in which he lays an egg, and then a handful of pretty phenomenal Easter dog pictures.

How was everyone's April Fool's Day? Last week, we gave you a roundup of fun dog-related April Fool's videos and this week, we just have to recap one of the internet's best pranks. Warby Parker – an affordable, stylish and environmentally-friendly eyewear brand – pulled one over on the world by turning their site into Warby Barker, a shopping haven for dogs in need of eyeglasses. Their "story" talks about a hatred for seeing adorable dogs in ugly glasses and how they, through their limited-edition Canine Collection, set out to change that.

Sometimes known as All Fool's Day, this un-official worldwide holiday is celebrated in different ways country-to-country. In France and Italy, for example, pranksters try to stick paper fish on each others' backs and then yell, "April fish!" Here, in America, we obviously try to pull pranks of all different types on each other, some more sophisticated than others. It seems we love April Fool's Day so much that we've gotten our dogs involved. Sometimes they're helping us prank someone, sometimes they're getting pranked, but either way, it's funny!
